Completely revamped website

http://www.marceldaems.com/ is totally redone. The only thing I can say that stayed the same (or somewhat the same) are the "in-frame" html pages. Those keep their lay-out but the colors are changed to adapt to the new overall design. The overall design is now brown-greenish and the style is kept very simple and sober. Overall I would say this design has given my website the readability and usability that I was searching for. Some pages are moved around in order to make the site more logical, but when in doubt you now have easy access to a "sitemap" link nested in the main (and only) navigation.

Sitemap is online

I Updated this website with a sitemap (opens in new window), which is to be found under the "general information" link at the bottom of the main pages. This is also done to make it easier for crawlers from search engines to find all the pages in my website.

Google AdSense is gone. Up is a newly refurbished website :)

I told you before, it's hard being a designer since you only appreciate your designs so long. So I did it again. It all started out when I was finalizing my logo and then realized that the logo doesn't match the site anymore. Since I liked the logo, the only alternative was redoing the website again. The good news for me is that the website uses a lot less CSS coding now so that makes it easy for me. The header is totally different now, as is the background. The content however is pretty much the same. Oh yes, and after a debacle with Google Irelands customer service, I took off Google AdSearch. I must honestly say that I might test it again on a later stage since I did liked the prospect and idea of having the ability to search straight from my website. However, I think I will be doing it a little different next time... if at all but the depends if the code works now. If I launch Google AdSearch again, it will be done from a page that everyone can set up as a homepage... but still thinking it over!

RSS Feed will remember messages for 1 month only!

My RSS feed will keep mesages for one month. After that it will drop out of the feed so do make sure to visit at least once a month :p. I do this so the XML does not get to elaborate.

No more Google Ads. Welcome Google Search! :)

Not that I felt THAT guilty putting ads on my website, but I did feel that it did not better the look having them so I decided to take the ads off. Still, this does not mean that you are completely rid of them but I just integrated them much better. Where before you had the ads visualized on the main pages, now you have a Google Search bar. Entering information there will search the world wide web through Google's engine and will give you the results on another page on my website. For me and for you as a visitor on this website it does give some benefits. First of all, the visitor gets rid of the annoying ads displayed on my website. Still, there will be ads visible when you search for more information but the big difference is that the ads are based on what YOU as a visitor are searching for. Good huh? :)
